My goal is to use the unique properties of watercolor to create effects that only this very difficult medium can achieve. These include transparency to show the paper's texture; experimenting with the 'blooms' and other results of water drying on the paper;  and glazing to create depth and form.  For my subject matter, I have gravitated towards painting flowers, landscapes, but lately am doing more abstract pieces.
